Fun times, I forgot my laptop one day recently, used a spare, but Firefox failed to download my saved passwords, despite signing in to a Firefox account with sync turned on. So I've moved on to Edge, which I have been setting up as default for colleagues for general DA work for ages.
Edge will:
- Best support Microsoft access security tightens (Chrome will need an extension and does not store passwords in as work-friendly a way).
- Auto-login to Microsoft services like SharePoint with the same DA-Microsoft account as used for Windows sign-in.
- Sync your favourites and passwords to your work Microsoft account (as opposed to a browser-specific account).
- Allow you to use the CSI Inc. extension for iMIS (iMIS Experience Plus). CSI Inc. make a tool we use for importing data into iMIS and running daily automated tasks on data, so already uses some high-level iMIS logins and is as trusted as possible.
I also added an Edge extension called Group Speed Dial which claims to not read or share browsing data. I have backed up my speed dial shortcuts so they are easily synced on other devices along with Microsoft-stored passwords (where appropriate). 2FA continues to provide extra protection.

I hope you benefit from the iMIS Experience Plus extension, once switched on (and after going to Options to limit it to https://staff.dietitiansaustralia.org.au), it gives you some good shortcuts.

- Ctrl+Space will open the iMIS Work Bar. Shortcut is editable.
- Enter an ID and it immediately gives you some good info without loading a profile page. This is way quicker than finding and loading profiles via the Community > Find contacts page. May not replace your existing methods e.g. recycling profiles in multiple browser tabs if you prefer that, but is still super quick.
- Beyond IDs, you can also type/paste event codes, usernames, enter keywords to quickly navigate around iMIS, use for general keyword search (incl products), or to search for help documentation.
- It also adds some minor improvements to web page editing with RiSE, and IQA editing for those who create reports and queries.
iMIS Experience Plus help docs are on the CSI website at https://docs.csiinc.com/iep/?l=en.
